I’m a Medela Mum

Earlier this year, we were delighted to launch our ‘I’m a Medela Mum’ project. We have always enjoyed working with bloggers on honest reviews of our products but this year we wanted to take this even further and help to support mums throughout their breastfeeding journeys, starting at the very beginning.

We were delighted to welcome on board bloggers; LeeLee LovesToby and RooSide Street StyleA Slice of My Life WalesScrapbook Of Our LivesThe Travel Hack and My Blue Rinse as our first Medela Mums and the last few months have seen truthful, inspiring and helpful posts documenting how they are getting on with breastfeeding their gorgeous little ones. With posts ranging from breastfeeding myths, key questions, the early days, expressing and breast pump reviews, we hope that this new project helps to encourage all mums who are already breastfeeding or hope to breastfeed once their baby arrives. Most importantly, our lovely mums help to show that no two breastfeeding journeys are the same and when it comes to breastfeeding, there is no such thing as ‘normal!’

LeeLeeLoves, Toby and Roo and Side Street Style have started to express using the Medela Swing and Medela Harmony breastpumps. Based on their own experience, they have posted in depth reviews on these breastpumps including details on which works best for them. Please follow the links below to read their thoughts:

A Slice of My Life Wales was pleased to hold a Breastfeeding Café in her local area to chat with fellow breastfeeding mummys over coffee and cake.

Host, Leanne, found that the reoccurring themes in all their breastfeeding stories seemed to be that conflicting advice from healthcare workers can lead to confusion and knocked confidence, chatting with fellow breastfeeding mums is the best type of support, joining a breastfeeding group or at the very least a forum can be helpful and mums shouldn’t be ashamed to breastfeed in public. Sounds like a fab discussion over homemade carrot and orange cake – yum!

We are also delighted to announce that Family Fever and Make, Do and Push have just joined our team of Medela Mums. Expecting mums, Kate and Hannah have been thinking about their upcoming breastfeeding journeys and have been in touch with our lactation consultant, Sioned to ask their key questions and seek some advice.

It has been an amazing start to our Medela Mums project and we are so pleased to join our mums on their special journeys with their little ones. We’re looking forward to the second half of the year where we will be growing our team of Medela Mums and are thrilled to have our newest addition to the team on board already, blogger Dear Beautiful.

If you or someone you know would be interested in becoming a Medela Mum then we’d love to hear from you so please do get in touch with our PR team at emily@bumppr.co.uk.
